Colliers was retained by Tokyu Canada Corporation, a subsidiary of the Tokyo-based multinational industrial conglomerate – Tokyu Group, to act as the exclusive advisor in the sale of its leasehold interest in the 504-room, five-diamond Pan Pacific Hotel & World Trade Centre in downtown Vancouver. This landmark hotel is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, and is truly the pre-eminent hotel in Vancouver. The hotel and trade centre complex includes five food and beverage outlets, approximately 22,000 SM (2,040 SM) of meeting/banquet space, a 10,000 SF (930 SM) health club and spa, retail outlets and some 214,000 SF (19,900 SM) of Class A office space. The hotel was subject to a management contract with Pan Pacific Hotels & Resorts America Inc. With a list price of $165 million, the Pan Pacific Hotel & World Trade Centre was discreetly marketed to a select group of investors capable of completing a transaction of this magnitude.
